CEU Library Services
The Library plays a central role at CEU, providing quality academic library services to students, faculty, and staff in support of teaching, learning, and research. The Library’s experienced staff, expanding collection of academic resources, research skills trainings, and media and visual literacy education are all directed towards meeting the needs of its members. CEU Library’s primary focus is on serving the CEU community, but the Library also grants external memberships to students and faculty from other educational institutions and to other researchers not affiliated with CEU who require the use of its collections for their scholarly research.
The Library has comprehensive collections in the fields of:
- social sciences
- political science
- international relations
- legal studies
- business studies
- gender studies
- art and literature
- medieval studies and
- environmental science.

With more than 400 seats and a variety of spaces for collaboration, everyone can find their favorite place to work in CEU’s modern Library.
- more than 85 computers
- 8 bookable Co-Labs for group work
- the Mirabaud Media Lab, a state-of-the-art workspace offering media production equipment and stations for audio and visual editing
- a Literacy Lab, a research skills training lab and open workspace with 16 computers
- copy stations on each floor providing free scanning as well as printing and copying
Interlibrary loan (ILL)
The Library’s Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service provides CEU community members, including IAS Fellows, with access to resources from many other Libraries. For more information, please visit the Library's ILL page.
