The modernization of the industrial labour and the increasing power of the workers society played huge part in the 20th century. It was an interesting period regarding the development and the processes of the economy; it’s been controlled by capitalism, then changed to the communist regime plans, and then after 1989 again changed back to the needs of the market. Obviously the higher ground changes such as the modernization and the globalization had a big effect on the workers' society. My aim is the present a research which digs down to the beginning. Through the example of the Factory of Metallurgy Ózd, I would like to show the development of the workers' society from the dynamic start at the beginning 19-20th century till the fail at end of the 20th century. I’m planning to do a comparative research based on my previous work in Ózd. During my planned research time I would like to expend my knowledge and gather more experience about similar industrial cities in East- and Central Europe.
